Liability Waiver

This document has been prepared by and on behalf of:

DriverID B.V., with its registered office at Waarderweg 19, 2031BN Haarlem, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 72031115,
and
Historische Auto Ren Club, with its registered office at Zwanenburgerdijk 296, 1161 NL Zwanenburg, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 88286657,

hereinafter jointly referred to as: “DriverID”.

Dear Participant,

Great to have you join a motorsport event organized by DriverID. This activity is fun, exciting, and challenging, but it also carries certain risks. We want to ensure that you can enjoy the event safely. Therefore, we ask you to carefully read and sign this waiver. By signing this waiver, you also confirm that you do so on behalf of any passengers during your participation in the track activities (Tracktime or Parade Sessions).

What does this waiver mean in summary?

You understand that participating in a DriverID event involves risks and dangers, such as personal injury or damage to personal belongings.
You accept these risks and participate at your own responsibility.
We do our utmost to make the activity as safe as possible, but we cannot eliminate all risks.

What are the risks of participation?

Participating in a DriverID event comes with risks inherent to motorsport activities. While safety measures are in place, participants should be aware that participation may involve:

Physical injuries, ranging from minor bruises to serious incidents with potential long-term consequences.
Unforeseen and extreme situations, such as sudden weather changes, collisions, or technical failures that may impact participant safety.
Material damage, including damage to clothing, personal belongings, or vehicles.

Your Responsibilities

Health: You are responsible for ensuring that you are in good physical and mental condition to participate. You cannot participate under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair your driving ability. If in doubt, consult a doctor before the event.
Driver’s License: You must possess a valid driver’s license.
Compliance with Safety Instructions: Always follow the instructions of DriverID and the organization responsible for the racetrack.
Limits: Do not exceed your own limits and do not take unnecessary risks.

What does DriverID do to ensure your safety?

We take the following measures to minimize risks:

Technical Inspections: We regularly check and maintain all equipment and vehicles.
Protective Gear: We require all participants to wear the protective clothing provided.
Safety Instructions: All participants receive clear instructions before the event to ensure safe participation.
Experienced Instructors: All DriverID instructors have the necessary experience to guide the event.

When are we not liable?

DriverID is not liable for any damage or injury resulting from:

Unforeseen and inherent risks associated with the event.
Failure to comply with your responsibilities.

No refund will be granted if, due to your own actions, you are unable to participate in a Free Driving or Parade Session in whole or in part. This may be due to, for example:

Exceeding the noise limit of 93 dB (Circuit Zandvoort has strict regulations)
Technical issues with the car, such as oil leaks, or if the vehicle is removed from the track for any other reason
Failure to report or late arrival at the staging area for a session
Other reasons preventing participation (in whole or in part)

Furthermore, DriverID is not responsible for damage to or loss of valuable items. Participants should leave such items at home.

Persons affiliated with DriverID may also invoke this waiver. “Affiliated persons” include, but are not limited to, all employees, assistants, (indirect) directors, interns, and other third parties involved in executing the DriverID event.

By agreeing to this waiver, you confirm:

That you understand and accept the risks.
That you participate at your own responsibility.
That you will follow our rules and instructions.

Privacy Statement: As a participant, I agree to the use of my personal data, provided that DriverID does not share it with third parties. I also consent to the use of photo and video material produced during event days organized by DriverID, which may be used for the promotion of DriverID and/or its suppliers and/or the racetracks, where I or my accompanying visitor(s) may be visibly featured.

Important Information: This waiver applies to all events organized by DriverID in the calendar year 2025. By signing this waiver, the participant acknowledges the risks associated with participation and irrevocably waives any claim for compensation against DriverID, its employees, volunteers, partners, and other involved parties arising from participation in any 2025 event, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by DriverID.
